LESSONS
Located at Red Tar Farm in Stafford Springs, CT, our therapeutic riding program incorporates PATH International and SpiritHorse International practices and procedures to design unique lesson plans for riders of all ages with a wide variety of challenges, whether physical, mental or emotional. Our aim is to create a support team of family, educators, therapists and caregivers that will share goals and progress. If you have a particular need, chances are we can address it with Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy. We are open to all suggestions and are only limited by the safety requirements of our riders and our horses.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
We provide free community programs to all local schools and agencies. These have included visits to a local library, farm visits by a school group, a Girl Scout badge project, a visit from a senior group, presentations at local organizations (such as Rotary Clubs or fraternal groups) and many more. While these activities do not include riding, they allow people to see and touch horses, visit a farm, and perhaps decide if they would like to go further with riding or working with horses.
